CHI Work-in-Progress

Yesterday, we received the happy news that our paper detailing the focus group study from last summer was accepted to CHI 2010 as a work-in-progress. That means, in addition to the feedback we received from the review process, we also get to pitch our idea to leading academic and industry members of the HCI community during the poster session.

Our plan is to create an interactive poster for the event, one that mimics the focus group exercise on a large scale. Instead of a static poster showing our process and the concept, we'll engineer a number of grid spaces and removable photo cards. People passing by the poster can make their own collages. Maybe we'll even find a way to capture the work in some way.

CHI will be hosted by Atlanta, which has a great startup community of its own. Maybe there will be some opportunity to chat with some tech folks down there.
